Before Kanako Urai became a wrestler in 2004, she graduated from the Osaka University of Arts Junior College and even wrote for “Xbox Magazine.” She also designed graphics for Nintendo D.S. and various mobile applications. What’s more, Asuka also owns a hair salon in Yokohama called Another Heaven.Asuka started her wrestling career in 2004 and has since become very well-known in the W.W.E. lineup for her perfect technique and wicked intentions. In 2015, Asuka became the first female Japanese wrestler to sign a developmental deal with the W.W.E. She won the NXT Women’s Championship in 2016 and, in 2017, was moved to the main roster. She won the Women’s Royal Rumble Match in 2018. She is also a former two-time Raw Women’s Champion, SmackDown Women’s Champion, two-time W.W.E. Women’s Tag Team Champion, and the 2020 Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match-winner.Because of her work as a graphic designer and video game journalist for Microsoft, Asuka is sponsored by the company.
