Carolina Giraldo Navarro, popularly known as Karol G, is easily recognizable in the Latin music industry. With her songs played numerous times and her collaboration with iconic artists of the scene, it’s clear that the artist has succeeded in establishing a powerful place for herself in the world of music and plans on maintaining it for a long time. Karol G was born on February 14, 1991, in Medellín, Colombia. Her zodiac sign is Aquarius, and she is Colombian. She is the daughter of Guillermo Giraldo, a musician, and Marta Navarro and has two sisters, Verónica and Jessica. She first became interested in music during childhood, inspired by her musician father, and decided to compete in the Colombian version of “The X Factor” at 15.She obtained a record deal signing with Diamond Music in Puerto Rico and Flamingo Records in Colombia. This made her successful in Colombia as a solo artist, and she followed this up with more collaborations and solo singles in the following couple of years. Finally, in December 2015, she signed a record deal with Universal Latin. However, the year that would bring Karol G her true breakthrough after years of work would be 2016. Her song ‘Hello,’ for which she collaborated with reggaeton star Ozuna, was a massive hit, and Karol G followed it up with collaborations with other big names in reggaeton like Sebastian Yatra and Daddy Yankee.In 2017, she released her debut album “Unstoppable,” which featured artists like Bad Bunny, and she followed it up with more singles in 2018 with artists like Maluma and Anuel AA. In 2019, she released her second album, “Ocean,” which debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 200. In the same year and 2020, she collaborated with Nicky Minaj, Snoop Dogg and Migos, and the Jonas Brothers.
