Lil Peep, a famous rapper, and singer of Swedish-American descent, was born on November 1, 1996, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Because he had an absent father, his parents divorced when he was 14. Ahr then moved with his mother and brother to Long Beach, New York. Ahr graduated from Long Beach High School in New York. He studied at Glendale Community College in California and Nassau Community College, where he made the Dean’s List, but he later dropped out.Ahr, who chose the name “Lil Peep,” had been associated with the band Schemaposse since high school, before it disbanded in 2016. The rapper released his first mixtape titled “Lil Peep; Part One” in 2015. His second mixtape “Live Forever” and an E.P. called “Feelz” were released the same year before joining GothBoiClique. Ahr released “Crybaby,” his full-length mixtape in 2016. The same year, he released his fifth and final mixtape titled “Hellboy.” The success of “Hellboy” facilitated Lil Peep’s first solo tour across the United States. After the tour, he relocated to London and in August 2017, Lil Peep released his debut studio album titled “Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 1.”Lil Peep was a rising star before his death on November 15, 2017 — a victim of fentanyl and oxy overdose. His single ‘Awful Things,’ a cut from his first album, landed number 79 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The rapper was on his first world tour when he died but had several posthumous music releases. These releases include: “Spotlight” (2018) with Marshmello, “Got Em Like” with Juicy J, and Wiz Khalifa (2018), and his second album “Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2” (2018). The album took the number four spot on the Billboard 200 chart. His collaborative E.P. “High Fashion” with Harry Fraud was released in 2021.
