Mitch Lucker was a rising star and on his way to becoming one of the biggest artists in alternative music. He created unforgettable music with his band, Suicide Silence. Lucker was born on October 20, 1984, in Riverside, California, to Denise Haddad and Kip Lucker. He had an older brother, Cliff, and a younger sister, Heather. He was passionate about music and joined a band from an early age.In 2000, Lucker started performing music as a lead singer with the metalcore band Breakaway, later renamed Dying Dreams. It also featured his brother, Cliff, on guitar. While playing for this band, Lucker joined another band, called Suicide Silence, as a side project. However, it became his primary band after Dying Dreams disbanded a few months later. In 2003, he released his first work with Suicide Silence — a demo titled ‘Death Awaits.’ In 2005, the band released its first self-titled E.P. The following year, the band signed with Century Media Records, and Lucker collaborated with the band The Acacia Strain on their song ‘Predator; Never Prey.’ In 2007, Suicide Silence released its debut album, “The Cleansing,” which was a hit. In 2009, Lucker, alongside the rest of Suicide Silence, won the Revolver Golden God award for Best New Talent and collaborated with the band The Wings of Plague on its song ‘Classic Struggle.’ That same year, Suicide Silence released its second album, “No Time to Bleed.” In 2011, he collaborated with the band My Misfire on the song ‘The Sinatra.’The third album, “The Black Crown,” by Suicide Silence, was the last album Lucker ever recorded. On the fateful day of October 31, 2012, he was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in Huntington Beach, California, and was pronounced dead on November 1. Lucker is credited with the writing of two tracks on the band’s fourth studio album, titled “You Can’t Stop Me.”
