Monique Samuels was born to African-American parents on October 6, 1983, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Her original name is Monique Cox. She is the middle child with an older sister and younger brother. Samuels graduated from Pleasantville High School as a salutatorian and decided to continue her studies in business law at Duquesne University with a full academic scholarship. However, her time there was brief, as she soon dropped out to move to Washington, D.C., to pursue her music career. Her musical aspirations were put on hold when she married former football player Chris Samuels in 2012. The couple settled in Potomac, Maryland, where she got the opportunity to join the reality T.V. show based in the same city. The Samuels have three children: Christopher, Chase, and Milani.Samuels first joined the cast of Real Housewives of Potomac during the show’s second season in 2017 and starred in it for four seasons.
