Sandcastle Day is observed on the first Saturday in August every year. This year, it falls on August 5. Sandcastle Day was created to remind us of the pleasure that a bit of sand, water, and sunlight can provide us in the summertime. History of Sandcastle Day

The creator or developer of Sandcastle Day has yet to be identified. Sandcastles, on the other hand, have existed for thousands of years and are a treasured memory for both adults and children. From 1989 through 2009, the World Championship in Sand Sculpture was held at the Harrison Hot Springs in Harrison, British Columbia, Canada, sometimes known as “Harrisand.”Many other nations have their editions of the event.
