He was born on November 29, 1979, in Compton, California, and has a unique gangsta/West Coast/Hip-Hop rapper vibe. He grew up in Santana Blocc, a gang-controlled neighborhood. Taylor described his family as dysfunctional and spent six years in foster care. He attended Compton High School and three community colleges before dropping out.Taylor founded a record label with his brother, Big Fase. They made their debut mixtape, “You Know What It Is Vol. 1,” in 2002 and later signed to Get Low Recordz. After hearing this mixtape, Taylor got signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment label in 2003. In 2004, he released his first promo single, “Westside Story.” In January 2005, Taylor released his first major-label album, “The Documentary.” The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and the single ‘Hate It or Love It’ from the album was nominated for two Grammys that year. “The Documentary” was the 16th bestselling album of 2005 in the U.S. and increased Taylor’s publicity tremendously. Following disputes with 50 Cent, Taylor left Aftermath Entertainment and joined Geffen Records. He released his second album, “Doctor’s Advocate,” through this label in November 2006, and by August 2008, his third album, “LAX,” dropped.Although Taylor claimed “LAX” would be his last studio album, he has released 10 studio albums so far, and “Drillmatic” (2022) is the most recent. Asides from music, The Game has made several film and television appearances. He created a shoe line in collaboration with 310 Motoring called The Hurricanes. Taylor has had his fair share of public relationships. He was engaged to actress Valeisha Butterfield, but they called off their engagement in June 2006. He has also been involved with Tiffney Cambridge, a sixth-grade teacher. Together, Taylor and Cambridge starred in the V.H.1. series “Marrying the Game” for two seasons. However, the relationship lasted eight years without marriage. Taylor shares his life with his three kids.
